Hi, I’m ALi (she/her), a queer civil engineer and founder of Calypso Arcana—a Tucson-based consultancy blending infrastructure smarts with creative tech solutions. I help both public utilities and local orgs get their data working for them, not against them.
My work ranges from hydraulic modeling and pump performance analysis to interactive dashboards and modern workflow automation using tools like Power BI, ArcGIS, and Microsoft 365. I’ve supported cities like Oro Valley and Tucson Water—but I also love helping LGBTQ-owned businesses, nonprofits, and community orgs ditch their spreadsheets and build systems that are smarter, simpler, and beautifully functional.
Whether you need to map your water pressure zones, automate a reporting process, or finally understand what your data’s trying to tell you, I’ve got you. I design bilingual, user-friendly tools that empower teams to track progress, uncover insights, and streamline decision-making—without the tech overwhelm.
I work solo, so you get a direct line to your engineer. My approach is hands-on, equity-informed, and human-first—always. Public sector or passion project, I bring the same energy: clear solutions, creative design, and deep respect for the people behind the data.
Let’s build something that works—and makes you feel like a total boss using it. ????
Hey y'all, I'm ALi --> a passionate and enthusiastic queer, licensed engineer, and the singular wo-man powerhouse behind Calypso Arcana, LLC --> a bold experiment in harnessing modern technical wizardry to make water systems more accessible and intuitive for everyone.
I blend AI, data visualization, and human-centered design to transform complex water system challenges into engaging solutions. Think SCADA systems and hydraulic models reimagined through the lens of accessibility and visual storytelling—where every dashboard tells a clear story and every tool invites exploration.
When I'm not crafting vibrant solutions to technical puzzles, you'll find me immersed in learning about everything from glacial preservation to indigenous wisdom, or seeking out the quiet corners of nature. I believe in technology that serves humanity, designs that welcome everyone, and engineering that makes room for wonder.
