I love being a home inspector because it is so rewarding. I am very passionate about helping people, and I really enjoy sharing my knowledge with my clients. So much, actually, that I wrote a book about home maintenance for my clients.
Home buying/owning/selling is pretty stressful as it is. There is so much to learn and consider. There is so much information coming at you. It’s quite overwhelming, especially for first time buyers. As a result, when my clients show up to the home inspection, they are often nervous, intimidated, hesitant, anxious.
I know I have done my job right when at the end my clients leave with a smile on their face, a spring in their step, a sense of relief and direction, and generally so much happier than when they first walked in the door. Seeing this makes me really happy.
As your home inspector, I will be your advocate. I only work for you – not the realtor, not the seller, not the lender, or anybody else. I have a fiduciary duty to you, my client, and will always act only in your best interest.
My goal is to make sure that after the inspection you:
Are confident that I gave you all the information I possibly could about the home
Are confident that you can now make a good decision to either buy the home with confidence – or walk away knowing that it was not meant to be after all
Walk away from the inspection feeling empowered with knowledge
Feel more at ease and less stressed
